Prof. Pabitra Kumar Rath

Pabitra Kumar Rath (IRMA, OUAT)

Pabitra Kumar Rath is a faculty in the area of Project Management, Rural Finance and Rural Marketing. He has done his Post Graduate from Institute of Rural Management, Anand (IRMA). He is basically a technical student in agriculture from Orissa University of Agriculture and Technology (OUAT). He has a good academic record and more than five years of work experience in NGOs, Cooperatives, Microfinance and Banking organisations. He was instrumental in the establishment of Rural Distribution Network named RUDI (Rural Urban Development Initiative) brand in SEWA (Self Employed Women Association), Ahmedabad, which has been scaled up in Afghanisthan. He has worked with Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation Ltd (GCMMF) and was a part of the AMUL Milk marketing at Ahmedabad. He has also worked in the areas of Microfinance in HDFC Bank in  Orissa and Kerala. Besides these, he has brief organizational exposure to International Water Management Institute (IWMI), Aga Khan Rural Support Programme (AKRSP) during the training segment. He has a good understanding of Orissa and Orissa Microfinance in particular.
