Instructions for PGDM Admission 2009 - 11

 

Eligibility

Any graduate with a minimum of 15 years (10+2+3) of education, having minimum 50% aggregate marks (or equivalent CGPA) at graduation and valid CAT/MAT/XAT/IRMA Test/Orissa JEE/ATMA Score is eligible to apply. The percentage of aggregate marks is to be calculated as per the practice followed by the concerned University/Institution from where the candidate has obtained the degree. In case the University / Institution does not have any scheme for converting CGPA into equivalent marks, the equivalence would be established by the School by dividing obtained CGPA with the maximum possible CGPA and multiplying the resultant with 100.

Those who are in the final year and expect to complete all the requirements of graduation before 2nd July 2009 can also apply.

Application form

Application Form will be available on payment of Demand Draft of Rs. 600/- in favour of “HDF School of Management” payable at Bhubaneswar. For obtaining application form by post, write to: Admission Co-ordinator, HDF School of Management, M 4, Samant Vihar, P.O. Mancheswar Railway Colony, Bhubaneswar, 751017.

The form can also be downloaded from the website: - http://www.hdfsom.org.in. The downloaded application form should be sent with a Demand Draft for Rs. 600/- in favour of “HDF School of Management” payable at Bhubaneswar.

The completed application form should reach the Admissions Co-ordinator on or before 31st January 2009. Applications without requisite fees will not be accepted.

The institute  will issue an Index Number to the applicant, acknowledging the receipt of the application form. Any correspondence or query afterwards may be addressed quoting this Index Number only.
 

Programme Cost

The total programme fee for the PGDM over the full period of two years is Rs 4,00,000. This includes tuition fee and expenses for boarding, lodging, books, other reading materials and a laptop computer. It does not include expenses due to sickness, travel and other personal matter. Students will be provided with internet accessibility in the whole campus.

The school has a few scholarships ( partial and complete tuition fee waiver ) for socio-economically disadvantaged students (SC, ST, OBC, WOMEN and  Physically Challenged), The criteria of selection will be based on academic merit, social deprivation and economic backwardness.
 

Selection

All CAT/MAT/XAT/IRMA Test/Orissa JEE/ATMA score qualified applicants will be screened and thereafter the short-listing will be done. The short-listed candidates will be invited for group discussion and personal interview by the Institute. For convenience of the students the interview will be conducted at multiple locations like Bhubaneswar, Kolkata, Jamshedpur, Patna, Ranchi and Guwahati. The PGDM 2009-2011 program will commence from  29th June 2009 and hence, all the selected candidates must report at the School by that date.

 

Admission Procedure

Admission Offer
Successful candidates will be intimated of their final selection through admission offer letter containing the terms and conditions of the admission.

For the offer to be valid, the selected candidates, after going through the contents of admission offer letter, need to confirm and accept the offer with the terms and conditions for taking admission to the programme through “Acceptance Letter” along with a demand draft for Rs. 25,000/- favouring “HDF School of Management”, payable at Bhubaneswar towards the admission fees. The admission fees so deposited will not be refunded under any circumstances. All the candidates who are offered admission have to pay the fees as stipulated in the admission offer otherwise they would forfeit their seat to the person on the waiting list.

Cancellation of Admission Offer will be done

- if any information provided in the application form is found incorrect or misleading.

- if a student fails to submit the final degree result in time as stipulated or fails to secure the minimum eligibility marks in the degree examination.

- on non-fulfillment of terms and conditions of the admission offer letter.

Note - No fee will be refunded to the candidate whose admission is cancelled or one who has withdrawn from the programme on his/her own.
