Director's Message

Dear Students,

Greetings from the HDF School of Management (HDF SoM)!

I am glad to inform you that Human Development Foundation (HDF) has started its School of Management (SoM) which offers PGDM program. We would like to state at the outset that, HDF has started the School to fulfill a dream. The dream is to build an academic institution of excellence with a difference. The School stands for providing high quality management education embedded with high moral principles and accountability to all its stakeholders viz student community; faculty and staff; private and government organizations, trustees; and society at large. We are aware that in an environment of unethical commercialization of education, information explosion and impatience for quick-fixing, it is not an easy task to achieve our dream. But we have determination and commitment to pursue our dream.

We know all the high performing Schools have certain common features. These include competent faculty, high quality students, good infrastructure facility (library, internet access, physical facilities) and enabling governance system. We have taken initiative to systematically build each of these factors to position us in a positive spiral.

Some faculty members from reputed Business Schools have already joined the HDF SoM and some more will join very soon. Additionally, experts from reputed B-Schools and industry are available as visiting faculty. We have an Advisory Body with eminent persons from academia and industry to guide us in our curriculum, program delivery and placement. Our Trustees have long years of experience in institution building, academics and development sector. Their interest is to promote higher professional education through not-for-profit initiative so that the benefits can directly flow to the people. Hence, HDF has another wing, Center for Development Action and Research (cDAR) that works in the areas of primary health, school education, livelihood and governance. Experiences and resources from the cDAR will be available to our academic program. We at HDF SoM will continuously enable the budding professionals from the day of induction to the School to become not only an excellent professional but also a good human being for facing and shaping the corporate world and contribute to the societal goal.

Given our faculty resource, strength of advisory body, linkages with the corporate, government and development sector organizations, state-of-the-art infrastructure facility, and your commitment to hard work and sincerity; I can assure you a value driven excellent education and placement. I invite you to participate in our journey to a future of positive possibilities that will be defined by us collectively.

HDF SOM has started its academic session in PGDM from 18th August 2008, with due approval from AICTE. Should you require any further clarification I and my colleagues will be glad to provide the same.
